[PSL] demon/priest bullshit time
There’s really no way to describe the last twenty-four hours honestly without admitting that they’ve been an absolute, unmitigated disaster.
Kurapika knew better than to assume going in that killing these humans would be easy. If it would have been easy for him, he’s getting the impression that a human would at least have managed it by now, if barely. He went in prepared. He was on-guard.
In the end, it wasn’t enough - not by a long shot. Maybe some would say he should count himself lucky that his intended targets just dumped him in the street instead of actually trying to finish him off, but the only thing about it that Kurapika would consider lucky is that now he has another chance to finish out his contract.
...Assuming nobody kills or exorcises him while he’s just… bleeding into this gutter in the middle of the night.
